Many people ask me how I got started in Photography.  Photography has always been an interest to me.  In my younger years I had an interest in taking photos of entertainers, but never took it very seriously.  After 27 years of working at Hewlett-Packard, I was offered an early retirement package I could not refuse.  At that time yoga was my passion but since then photography has taken over.

Before retirement, I was a World-wide trainer on the features and functionality of color laserjet printers. I taught classes in color management and how to get the best output from the printer.   It was only natural that I buy a digital camera, computer and scanner.  I started photographing flowers and was really pleased with the results.    I love flowers and enjoy photographing them because they come in all varieties and colors.

I joined a digital imaging group which consists of people from all walks of life who have a common interest in photography.  It's the encouragement from this group that allowed me to expand my wings to sell my photography at the Farmer's Market in downtown Boise - Known as the "Capital City Public Market". It runs from mid-April til the end of October.   My summers are spent in the Sun Valley where I do a lot of photographing and hiking and ice skating.   I sell my photography at the Ketchum Farmer's Market as well.

All of my photos are taken with digital cameras - the camera of choice being a Canon 20D.  I do all of my own printing on a Epson 2200  printer which uses pigment inks.  The colors do not fade or run.  The paper of choice for me to print on is the Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper - Matt finish which is rated 5 star.  As you browse through my site, you will see that I've expanded not only to flowers, fruits, and vegetables, but also to scenery, and nature.

I personally sign each piece.  My photos are not mass-produced.
